Grey Squirrels
Grey squirrel populations appear to be on the increase, and they are now increasingly prevalent in residential areas. Squirrels can be a nuisance in the garden by disturbing plants and eating bird food. However, the major concern is when they enter roof spaces of buildings.
Red Squirrels are an indigenous species, and they are protected by law due to dwindling numbers. Grey Squirrels can sometimes find their way into peoples houses via attics and the basement, and are more than happy to use them as nests.
